Yuzu

A small greenish citrus fruit from East Asia, the yuzu has a strong and distinctive aroma reminiscent of lime. It is tart with a very fresh and pronounced citrus note. The yuzu is considered one of the most fragrant of the citrus family. It is a custom in Japan to take a yuzu bath on the winter solstice by floating the whole fruit in the bath water. The release of the fragrant yuzu oil is an uplifting treat on the shortest day of the year.
