Litchi or Litchee

A fruit native to southeast asia, the litchi has a syrupy sweet aroma but not heavy. The relatively high liquid content gives is a lighter fragrance. According to Chinese philosophy it is considered to have extreme yang proprieties (as opposed to yin properties), which include light, masculine, active, and corresponds to daytime.
