Cloves

Cloves are the dried aromatic buds of the clove tree, an evergreen tree native to Indonesia. Today they are also grown in India, Sri Lanka, Zanzibar, Madagascar and the Philippines. The aroma of a cloves is distinctively rich and spicy with a slightly sour-fruity-floral note. It has an energizing affect and is known to help drive away insects.
