Cinnamon

The cinnamon tree is found in tropical climates around the world but is native to South India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Both the tree bark and leaves are fragrant but it is the curled strips of bark that yield the rich aroma we associate with cinnamon. Cinnamon has a warm, sweet-spicy fragrance that is very powerful and tenacious. It has a uplifting and restorative qualities that can boost the spirit and is also considered an aphrodisiac.
